Cheltenham (England)

A Spa town since the discovery of the natural spring in 1716, Cheltenham has Regency architecture, a rich heritage with pastel-coloured houses superbly decorated in ironwork (more than 2,000 listed buildings). Located in the south-west of England, 150 km from London, in Gloucestershire in the middle of the Cotswolds, Cheltenham has 110,000 inhabitants. It is well-known for its cultural centre (International Music Festival in July, Book Festival, International Jazz Festival), its theatres, museums, and art galleries. Sport is also prominent, as it is a centre for horse-riding, cricket (international festival in July), and hiking…

The superb parks and gardens and floral decorations are the pride of Cheltenham which has been a winner of the European Flower Association award.
